Ascent Labs

independent studio

A one-person software studio that builds its own apps, ships them, and keeps them running.

what this is

Ascent Labs is one engineer. It makes its own products instead of client work, so every decision about an app stays in one place.

Each app is built carefully and released on mobile. Fixes and updates come from the same person who wrote the code, and nothing ships until it is worth shipping.

There is one app today. More will follow, at the pace that keeps them good.

Pawpy

A companion app for raising a puppy.

Pawpy tracks the first year with a new puppy: potty prediction, training progress, health and vaccination records, and growth curves you can actually read. Households share one log, so everyone caring for the dog sees the same history.

For new dog owners who want one place for the details, instead of a notebook and three other apps.
